compute.js is a service that allows users to perform distributed computing tasks in their browser. Similar to Boinc or Seti@home, users can donate their otherwise unitilized CPU cycles towards large computational tasks.
compute.js requires no special software and works with all modern browsers on all operating systems. Computations are performed using HTML5 webworkers, so they run unobtrusively without interfering with your normal browsing activities.
We are currently accepting invites for a public alpha. If you are interested in creating your own tasks, just sign up here and we’ll send you an invite to our alpha service as soon as we launch.
